Kids Muay Thai, 3 to 15

Striking, taught by age

Muay Thai runs on the same age bands as the Jiu-Jitsu programme, so a five year old is never on the pads with a fourteen year old.

Ages 3 to 6

Tiny's Thai

Young children start with balance, movement and listening. Pads give them a safe target while short games keep the session moving.

They learn to take turns, copy a coach and stop when asked. The goal is control, not power.

Ages 7 to 10

Junior Thai

Junior students learn stance, guard and simple combinations. They work on pads and build each movement one step at a time.

The pace is active, but the coach still makes time to correct the basics. Children get a workout without being thrown into an adult session.

Ages 11 to 15

Teens Thai

Teens learn longer combinations and work through proper pad rounds. They build timing, fitness and the habit of staying composed when tired.

Beginners are shown the basics first. Nobody is expected to arrive fit or already know how to hold pads.

The question every parent asks

Is it safe

Kids Muay Thai here is pads and technique.

Sparring is not part of the children's sessions, and nobody is put into anything they have not been prepared for.

Coaches hold the pads themselves at the younger ages, which is the difference between a child learning to strike and a child being hit.

When they train

9 kids Muay Thai sessions a week

Tiny's, Junior and Teens Thai sessions run across the week, mostly straight after the school run.
